Read this list carefully:

  • A love of photography
  • A delight in crazy storms, wild weather, and/or tornadoes
  • A fascination in people named Mitch
  • Deep sentiment for Ansel Adams
  • A wild obsession with the grayscale

If you possess any of these things, you simply must read on and do as I advise.

Mitch Dobrowner Storm

This is a picture taken by Mitch… Mitch Dobrowner. He’s a photographer who recently traveled with a renowned extreme weather/tornado chaser. He was also greatly inspired by Ansel Adams, one of the most famous and talented photographers who ever lived and who is often considered one of the pioneers in photography as an art form. The pictures that resulted from Dobrowner’s weathery excursion are awe inspiring to say the very least.

Here’s my advice… Click the link below. It’s a link to a google image search for Mitch Dobrowner’s storm photography.

Stuffs

My life has been quite interestingwonderfulawesome as of late.

Last week I was at Urban Hope working with a ministry they run called Kingdom Kids Daycamps. Basically, for a whole week, you get to play with kids every day and teach them about Jesus. In my opinion, it doesn’t get much better. It was quite the challenge at times, as I was on the team with 10-12 year old boys who loved to fight. Nevertheless, it was so worth it, and wouldn’t have given it up for anything.

Halfway through that week, my mom called me to tell me I’d gotten a job interview at a music store I’d applied to a month before. The interview was on Monday, and I think it went really well. I’ll find out by the end of the week whether they’ve chosen me or not. Your prayers for this would be greatly appreciated… I’ve been really needing a job for a while.

My sister Julie is home from Nebraska for a couple weeks right now. My family’s been doing a lot together recently because of that and it’s been really grand.

That’s about all that’s happened recently, but there’s even more coming up that I’m even more excited about… Thursday I’m going with my girlfriend to see the stage version of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Friday I’m going to the beach with my family and girlfriend (this is also the day that marks nine months since she and I started dating!), and then sometime soon (I’m not exactly sure when) my family’s going up for a short vacation at my grandfather’s cabin near the Pocono’s.

So there’s a little taste of what my life has been like lately… and much of the reason I haven’t been posting much at all on here. I’ve also been thinking a lot about how I’m going to college in just two months (62 days to be exact). It’s a little hard to believe.

I know this is a pretty long post, so I don’t exactly expect you to read it all. I hope and pray that you all have a really wonderful day! :)

P.S. My girlfriend started a 365 project… If you haven’t seen any of her photography, prepare to have your mind blown! I would highly suggest following along. http://blithful.wordpress.com/2011/06/28/365/
